Meet John Schmalbach

 John is a lifelong public servant, a military veteran, and a retired police officer with deep roots in Limerick Township. 

With decades of service to his country and community, John is now ready to bring his integrity, leadership, and progressive vision to local government. 

 For 27 years, John served with the Pottstown Police Department, earning a reputation for fairness, professionalism, and dedication to community policing. 

As a proud union member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Pottstown Police Officers’ Association, he understands the vital role strong unions play in protecting working families. 

 John’s eight years in the Army Reserves and National Guard instilled in him a strong sense of duty, discipline, and leadership—values he brings to every role he holds. 

Today, he shares these lessons as an instructor at a local military academy, mentoring the next generation.
