John Schmalbach has dedicated his life to serving his country and community. A retired police officer with 27 years of service, John’s career in law enforcement reflects his unwavering commitment to public safety and his belief in the importance of collaboration between communities and those who protect them.
In addition to his time on the Pottstown Police Department, John served for eight years in the Army Reserves and National Guard, where he developed leadership skills, discipline, and a strong sense of duty—values that have guided him throughout his life.
Since moving to Limerick Township in 2000, John has embraced the township’s strong sense of community and natural beauty. An avid outdoorsman, he is passionate about environmental conservation and believes in the importance of preserving green spaces for future generations. He enjoys spending time in nature and values the role outdoor recreation plays in fostering well-being and community connection.
John is also an instructor at a local military academy, where he shares his experience and leadership skills with the next generation, helping to shape future leaders through mentorship and guidance. His approach is rooted in dedication, integrity, and a lifelong commitment to service.
